Roles and Responsibilities
Collaborate with system engineers, frontend / backend software developers to implement virtualized infrastructure solutions that are foundational for unique GEHC product requirements and challenges, including performance, integrity, security, resilience/reliability.
Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI/CD, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques
Writes codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project
Understand performance parameters, assess application performance, and optimize infrastructure layer performance as needed
Collaborate with vendors on meeting the system and subsystem requirements
Education Qualification
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience - 2 years
Desired Characteristics / Technical Expertise:
Experience with building containerized immutable linux OS images; preferable, SUSE based.
Experience with optimizing linux OS configuration for deployment in virtualized environment(s); preferable, vCenter of VMware.
Experience with optimizing linux OS configuration for performance, integrity, security, resilience/reliability.
Experience with design, implementation, validation and verification of cluster based solution(s) that meets organization’s unique requirements.
Experience with design and implementation advanced CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.
Experience with design and implementation advanced BDD tests.
Experience with design, implementation, validation and verification of containerized applications.
Experience with design, implementation, validation and verification of API(s).
Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile.
General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle.
