About The Role

The AI/ML Engineer at Greenlight will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and deploying cutting-edge AI-powered solutions that enhance various aspects of Greenlights products and services. This includes developing intelligent features for user engagement, fraud detection, customer service automation, and marketing automation. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of large language models (LLMs), generative AI, and agentic architectures, with hands-on experience in deploying AI applications in production environments. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers and engineers, to bring innovative AI features to life efficiently and iteratively. Your responsibilities will include building scalable AI infrastructure, optimizing prompt engineering strategies, integrating AI systems into core architecture, and maintaining the end-to-end lifecycle of AI projects. The role offers an exciting opportunity to push the boundaries of AI technology in a fast-paced, collaborative environment, contributing to Greenlights mission of shaping the future of financial literacy for the next generation.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience building and deploying AI Agents and applications in production environments
  • Strong understanding of Large Language Models (LLMs), Generative AI concepts, and agentic architectures (multi-agent systems, tool usage, fine-tuning)
  • Hands-on experience with advanced prompt engineering techniques
  • Proficiency with modern AI frameworks such as LangChain, LangGraph, LlamaIndex, or CrewAI
  • Solid software engineering experience with building microservices or APIs using frameworks like FastAPI, Flask, or Node.js
  • Fluency in Python or JavaScript
  • Experience with AI agent deployment, testing, and monitoring, including non-deterministic agents
  • Familiarity with major ML platforms such as Databricks, AWS SageMaker, or Vertex AI
  • Track record of delivering high-impact products or research in dynamic environments
  • Curiosity and enthusiasm for working at the forefront of AI technology with pragmatic application skills

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and deploy AI-powered software solutions to support Greenlights AI initiatives across various products
  • Develop tools and infrastructure to support advanced AI workflows, including agentic architectures, distillation, and fine-tuning
  • Partner with product managers and engineering teams to rapidly develop and iterate on new AI features
  • Implement and optimize prompt engineering strategies, retrieval-augmented generation (RAG), vector stores, and chain-of-thought reasoning capabilities
  • Ensure seamless integration of AI systems into core architecture with a focus on performance and scalability
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of AI infrastructure and pipelines
  • Own the entire lifecycle of AI projects, from ideation through deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement
  • Push the boundaries of AI technology by exploring innovative approaches and solutions in a collaborative environment
