Job Summary
The Software Developer in Supply Chain Solutions is responsible for developing and maintaining software applications that optimize supply chain operations in the mail and parcel sorting industry. This role involves working on development projects, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the scalability and reliability of supply chain software systems.
Your role in our team
- You will work under the guidance of software architects to develop software, in both migration of existing software and creation of new software for existing and exciting new projects
- You will work with test engineers to review how the completed software works in the live environment of mail processing
- You will work with test engineers to troubleshoot and debug any software issues
- You will work closely with test engineers to understand the software requirements and deliver solutions that meet business needs in the mail and parcel sorting industry
- You will be responsible for all phases of developing software for various platforms and integrating software applications with existing supply chain systems to ensure seamless operations and data flow
- You will participate in customer technical meetings to support technical applications
- You will learn and assist in the entire life cycle of projects, from requirements engineering to final deployment
- You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements
- You will work in a collaborative and team-based environment, travelling throughout the U.S. up to 25% for customer meetings and integration testing
- You will be prepared to undertake other tasks as required
Your profile
- You have a Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Electrical Engineering
- You have experience with C#, C/C++, Java, XML, and/or .NET framework
- You have familiarity with source control software packages such as DevOps, GitHub, etc.
- You have proven experience in software development, with a focus on supply chain solutions.
- You have experience with distributed systems architecture, multithreaded application development, and/or experience with GUI development
- You have 1 to 4 years of software development experience (required)
- You have an active sensitive security clearance or are able to obtain a USPS sensitive clearance
- You have been part of a high-performing, multi-site, and multi-program team
- You have stayed updated with the latest industry trends and technologies
- You have good oral and verbal communication, reporting, and writing skills
- You will work locally in Irving, TX, in a hybrid work environment
