Job Description: Provide software engineering expertise to support SD missions, with a focus on large, complex C5ISR systems and their integration into tactical platforms. The role encompasses various aspects of engineering, including Software Analysis/Integration/Testing Support. Responsible for software integration, software testing, and validation/verification against established system requirements, as well as contributing to engineering conclusions.

Responsibilities:

• Provide expertise in C5ISR architecture-based processes, frameworks, tools, and architecture views/viewpoints.
• Support verification and validation of architecture information to ensure consistency, interoperability, and integration.
• Generate architecture-based plans, technical assessments, white papers, and reports.
• Offer systems engineering support, including systems design, requirements management, risk management, technical analyses, modeling and simulation, and systems integration.
• Conduct trade studies, technology assessments, and ensure interoperability of emerging communications solutions with existing C5ISR systems and platforms.
• Provide Model Based System Engineering (MBSE) support using SysML for System Engineering (SE) and integration documentation.
• Develop and maintain system diagrams, interfaces, requirement traceability, functional decomposition, activity flows, and message sequencing diagrams.
• Utilize MBSE tools such as Magic Draw and Enterprise Architecture for documentation.
• Contribute to software security, Information Assurance (IA), and network defense engineering efforts.
• Ensure compliance with Army and C5ISR Chief Information Officer (CIO) requirements.
• Analyze communications requirements, recommend equipment solutions, and enhance application security.
• Provide expertise in networking and IA activities related to hardware and software integration, verification and accreditation, and test and acceptance support.
• Assess and recommend telecommunications and IT equipment for maintaining and enhancing SATCOM systems and assets.
• Develop, test, and deploy applications using programming languages, web services, and database servers.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree or 8 years of additional relevant experience
• Shall have at a minimum 5 years of experience in the analysis, design, development, testing, and delivery of high quality critical software applications.
• In-depth experience in software engineering, with a focus on C5ISR systems and integration.
• Strong knowledge of software security, Information Assurance (IA), and network defense engineering.
• Familiarity with relevant DoD standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication skills for technical discussions, reports, and documentation.
• Problem-solving skills for analyzing system concepts, designs, and interoperability issues.
• Ability to work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams.
