Responsible for designing, building, delivering and maintaining software applications, services, as well as compute platform configurations. Working in the areas of machine, cloud, platform and/or application. Responsible for software lifecycle including activities such as requirement analysis, documentation/procedures and implementation.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

• Collaborate with system engineers, frontend / backend software developers to implement virtualized infrastructure solutions that are foundational for unique GEHC product requirements and challenges, including performance, integrity, security, resilience/reliability.

• Apply principles of SDLC and methodologies like Lean/Agile/XP, CI/CD, Software and Product Security, Scalability, Documentation Practices, refactoring and Testing Techniques

• Writes codes that meets standards and delivers desired functionality using the technology selected for the project

• Understand performance parameters, assess application performance, and optimize infrastructure layer performance as needed

• Collaborate with vendors on meeting the system and subsystem requirements

Education Qualification

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or “STEM” Majors (Science, Technology, Engineering and Math) with minimum years of experience - 2 years

Desired Characteristics / Technical Expertise:

• Experience with building containerized immutable linux OS images; preferable, SUSE based.

• Experience with optimizing linux OS configuration for deployment in virtualized environment(s); preferable, vCenter of VMware.

• Experience with optimizing linux OS configuration for performance, integrity, security, resilience/reliability.

• Experience with design, implementation, validation and verification of cluster based solution(s) that meets organization’s unique requirements.

• Experience with design and implementation advanced CI/CD pipelines in GitLab.

• Experience with design and implementation advanced BDD tests.

• Experience with design, implementation, validation and verification of containerized applications.

• Experience with design, implementation, validation and verification of API(s).

• Prior work experience in an agile environment, or introductory training on Lean/Agile.

• General understanding of the impacts of technology choice to the software development life cycle.
